Diego ARES

Diego Ares is considered one of the leading harpsichordists of his generation.

He has given recitals in Europe, Japan and Canada.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Brittany, the City of Granada Orchestra, the orchestra of the Bach Society of Holland, etc. He also collaborates with musicians such as Richard Egarr, Pierre Hantaï, Ignacio Prego, Shunske Sato, Lina Tur Bonet, Rachel Podger and Maurice Steger.

Ares has made recordings for Columna Música, Pan Classics, Harmonia Mundi, Ibs-Classical, Mirare and for the “All of Bach” project. His recordings have received numerous awards (“Exceptional” from Scherzo, “Diapason d’or”, “Maestro” from Pianiste, “Preis der Deutsche Schallplattenkiritk”, etc.).

He has taught harpsichord, fortepiano and basso continuo at the Conservatoire in Trossingen (Germany), at the Geneva Conservatoire and at the summer academy in Grajal de Campos.
